Email Caution

I am just about to swear off email altogether if it gets any worse. It is certainly not the communication tool it once was. But to network with the masses that haven’t discovered Skype yet, it’s the only way to get the initial connection made.
The last few weeks I have noticed a growing trend of people sending me official sounding messsages about details I MUST take care of, then inside a link that reads:
Having trouble viewing this email? Click here to view as a webpage.
Don’t worry, I’m not stupid enough to click one of them and I hope you aren’t either.
That’s when I decided to make a post here to see how many of you are seeing the same stuff?
You can’t be too careful with everyone trying to trash your system at every turn. I must throw out 10 emails for every one I read and I can’t help but think a few good ones are in the mix, but it’s not worth the risk to open them and see.
Of course you still need Windows Defender and Avast anti-virus running free, but there isĀ no sense testing them if you don’t need to. I would rather play it safe.
See you all online!
