Read The TOS Please
Networking online is great fun as well as profitable, but do yourself a great service and at least scan through the Terms Of Service when you join anything.
I participate in a contact list builder and it clearly states in the TOS that you agree to receive occasional email from the admin and from your sponsor once a week. I try to make sure that message is something they can use instead of just an ad.
Can you imagine my surprise when I received a vulgar response from three people today complaining that I was spamming them? Why on earth would anyone join a contact list and not expect to get contacted is beyond me!
My point is, if they had read the TOS before joining, it would never have been an issue. Even though it was only 3 out of 1,500 it doesn’t feel great to be on the wrong end of a cussing out when you did nothing wrong.
Oh well, I guess it’s just part of the game.
